March 14, 2008 - Dr. Asim Piracha, a Louisville eye surgeon and partner and medical director at John-Kenyon American Eye Institute, recently was elected to a one-year term as president of the American Board of Eye Surgery.
Piracha previously served as treasurer for the board and was named president last month, at the board's annual meeting in Puerto Rico.
The board offers a certification program for eye surgeons through which surgical skills and judgement are tested and observed by peers.
