Maurice E. John, M.D., is among the most well-known and respected ophthalmologists in the world, having traveled extensively to study and teach eye surgery in 15 different countries around the world.

Dr. John specializes in cataract and refractive surgery, is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is certified in cataract/implant surgery and refractive surgery by the American Board of Eye Surgery. He is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Dr. John received his medical training from the University of Iowa Medical School, served his internship at Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University, and did his residency at the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
