TIMOTHY E. SCHMITT, M.D.
Timothy E. Schmitt, M.D., is a specialist in eye disease and surgery, and is one of the most experienced refractive surgeons in the region and was among the first to offer LASIK surgery in the Louisville area.
He received his medical training at the University of Purdue and the Indiana University Medical School, serving his internship at St. Vincent’s Hospital and an ophthalmic residency at Indiana University Medical School. In addition to his work at the John-Kenyon American Eye Center, Dr. Schmitt is also a staff member at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany, Indiana.
Dr. Schmitt is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. In addition, he serves as a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology; American Board of Eye Surgery; Indiana State Medical Association; International Society of Refractive Surgery; American Medical Association; American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery; and numerous other professional medical associations. |
