Now Hiring: Ophthalmic Techs and/or Medical Assistants

John-Kenyon is looking for full-time Ophthalmic Technicians or Medical Assistants for our busy, growing Ophthalmology practice in Southern Indiana and Louisville, KY area. Candidates must be energetic, flexible, empathetic to patient needs, and able to learn quickly and multitask in a busy clinic.  The right person will arrive to work with a good attitude, ready to learn and greet each day as a wonderful experience to help our patients see better.

Experience is preferred, but we will certainly train the perfect candidate. We’re offering a wonderful career opportunity where you can train on the job to learn the full skill set. Ophthalmic Technicians are needed nationwide! This is a great career and is always expanding. There are several certification levels a tech can achieve. This is not just a job, but a life changing choice.

Good attendance is a must and being on time is required.  Work hours vary: this is not a 9-5 job. We work some early mornings and some late nights based on patient’s needs.The job skills are demanding and you will learn how to work a patient up as well as the various skills needed for an eye exam. We use various computerized diagnostic testing equipment. We are also on NextGen EMR for our patient records. Good computer skills and understanding is a must.

We have locations in New Albany, Jeffersonville, and Louisville.   We also have a travel team that works in our satellite offices in Kentucky and Southern IN.   Any candidates must be willing and able to travel to all locations.   The teams that travel to our satellite locations do so via a company van.
